My background information.

Well Hello, I am unknown7789. I am a female born in Kentucky but raised in Texas. I will be talking about many different topics involving myself or experienced I have been through. It was autumn in the mid 2000’s, my mother married her high school sweetheart, my father joined the army and he convinced my mother to go as well. After about a year or so my mom was pregnant with me but she filed for a divorce and we moved all they way back to Texas. I grew up in Falcon Nation but I moved frequently, when I was in second grade my mother got pregnant and gave birth to my brother; in the following year she gave birth to my little sister. After my youngest sibling was born we moved to Bearkat Nation, then I became a Kat. As of right now in the moment I will be graduating in about 9 weeks more or less.

The Island

One important memory I can always remember is the beach, if I close my eyes I can vividly see the big blue waves forming, I can hear them crashing against together. I can hear the seagulls trying to find something to eat and I can see them terrorizing children and tourist. I remember the hot summer sun shining down on my face giving me a big warm kiss, but as soon I put my feet in that water it is almost like a pinching feeling you do when you are trying to make sure you are wake and not dreaming. But, I realize that I am not dreaming and i just jump right in the sea, feeling the sand underneath me hug my toes. I stay there sorta just floating and enjoy being in my favorite part of the world, after a while I go back to the shallow water and try to find as many seashells I can find. I would collect all the ones I thought were beautiful and take them home with me, once it was time to go home I would take one last glance at the ocean. Then just at that exact moment it feels as if the waves are saying goodbye to me.

Sky Ranch

Sky Ranch is Christian Facility, I went on a trip with some of my friends and some peers as well. We were going to be attending a Student Leadership with Trio Talent Search -UTRGV, at first I thought it was going to be an okay experience. But when we arrived to Sky Ranch we had to get our luggage off of the charter bus, and immediately we were greeted by some faculty members. They told us to get our luggage and get on the flat bed that was connected to a ford truck. After loading my luggage then I sat down, then the truck proceeded to take us to our cabin, once arriving to our cabin it was this huge room almost bigger than a school classroom. Inside of the cabin everywhere you can see there is bunk-beds. After settling down and choosing our beds, we had our first meeting; but instead of just sitting and talking they actually had team building task and events. During these events throughout the about 3 day stay there was not ever a boring time, after the 2 day we had about 2 hours to ourselves. But unfortunately it was raining while we were there, but my friend and I still wanted to go out on the lake. But my friend wanted to go on a canoeing on the lake, but I had this fear of canoes due to an accident as a child. She helped me over come my fear by just floating in the water for a bit, then just paddling the boat into the deeper end. By the time I realize how far we are I just start enjoying my time there, yes it was raining but I really enjoyed the view of the lake and the pine trees. This image will forever be in my memories, and I will return one day to see that amazing view again.

John Newcombe Tennis Ranch

John Newcombe is a tennis ranch, I went on this trip with the same organization that took me to Sky Ranch. This trip would only be allowed to Seniors, the day of the trip none of my friends decided to attend. So I was really nervous because none of my close friends were going to be attending this trip, after lunch I got my luggage and went to the charter bus. I loaded my luggage then we left to San Antonio, we stopped to eat at a Mexican restaurant while there I heard a familiar voice call my name. Then I soon realized it was a person I met at Sky Ranch, I was so relived that I knew someone on the trip that I could talk to. We finally got to the Tennis Ranch and we were informed we had to had groups of and friend I decided we could just bunk with each other, once we are finally in the “cabin” I expected to see bunk beds but I was in for a treat because we actually had beds, tv, and many plugs to charge our phones. We had fun activities but then the following night 2 more girls joined us in our cabin, since that day we had enjoyed our time together. I enjoyed this trip I learned how to adapt to a new environment and talk to other people I am not used to, but overall it was a great experience.
